Intermediate Bridge Class 4
Last Saturday we had our fourth lesson where we talked about some conventional responses to a 1NT opening, namely Stayman (2C) and Jacoby transfers (2D and 2H). These are extremely popular and considered "standard", so it is good to know how they are useful. 2C helps your partnership find a 4-4 major suit fit, while transfers help the partnership find a 5-3 or 6-2 major suit fit.
