We had our third lesson where we talked about the general purpose of bidding, different types of contracts (partscores, games, slams), and how to use high card points to evaluate hands. We also covered the requirements for a 1NT opening bid (which is one of the most descriptive opening bids) and went over some general principles in responding to a 1NT opening by partner.
