Workshop Feb 2 Funding Sources & Legal Issues - Executive Summaries Due Feb 26


Socail Enterprise and Innovation Competition (SEIC)

St. Louis, WUSTL Simon , January 30, 2007 -

YouthBridge Workshops on Funding Sources, Legal Implications of Social Enterprise, Executive Summary and Making Your Elevator Pitch will occur on February 2 in Simon Hall at Washington University at 1PM.  This will consist of two one hour and fifteen minute sessions on these subjects where attendees select which two sessions are of interest to them.  It will be followed by a socialization networking time with no fees.  All are invited - come learn, share, watch and meet others.

YouthBridge Workshop Series: This is the fourth of five workshops for nonprofit agencies and people to facilitate learning about and developing social enterprise or earned income strategies to augment traditional grants and fund raising activities.  The final workshop will be on March 2 addressing the subjects of Alliances and Collaboration and Measuring Outcomes.

Competing for $100,000 in Awards: Agencies seeking to take their ideas to the next level are invited to subject their executive summaries on February 26.   The judges will provide feedback to each submitter and select a group of semi-finalists for the next level of the competition, who will be invited in to make elevator pitches to a live audience.  They will receive feedback and finalists will be selected.  They will submit a full business plan and make a presentation to a live audience.  Over $100,000 will be awarded to the winners and all will receive feedback.
