Words of Wisdom
Quotes from summer apprentices:

"I could not stop telling my friends and showing them pictures of my art, which I was extremely proud of.  Before Artworks, I didn't know anything about working in the real world, but after Artworks I had so many new skills.  Whether it was making friends, working hard, money management, interview skills, or writing resumes, I still think I have more to learn!"

"I learned about the importance of planning ahead and finding solutions to problems as they present themselves.  The most rewarding part of the program was the experience I gained with communication skills, something I will use for the rest of my life."

and from their parents:

"I was amazed by the whole program, how she had to have an official interview to get the job; the amount of new techniques she learned; it was her first official paycheck too!
She was thrilled to get a jump drive to enable her to easily show her work to prospective colleges and employers."

"He has learned a great deal; the teachers and staff are great.  I attend all the open houses and the kids are friendly and helpful and very talented.  I have been impressed with the projects he had worked on; the teachers are positive and encouraging towards the students."
