SEIC Becomes the YouthBridge SEIC
YouthBridge Announces Contract Renewal for Ongoing SEIC Commitment
St. Louis, Missouri , August 06, 2009
-YouthBridge is proud to announce that an agreement between YouthBridge and the Washington University Skandalaris Center has been reached to continue the Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition beyond the original five-year commitment. With this announcement comes the name change to the YouthBridge SEIC. Education through the YouthBridge SEIC is the cornerstone of the YouthBridge three Es. Through this investment, we insure the continuation of the largest social entrepreneurship and innovation competition in the United States where $480,000 has been awarded to the prizewinners during the past four years. The YouthBridge Workshops, free business education for all nonprofits, will continue with the focus on developing new revenue streams through social enterprise.
This comes as great news for the St. Louis community and beyond as all nonprofits can attend the free YouthBridge Workshops to learn a variety of business skills focusing on how to build social enterprises to attain financial sustainability and balance sheet strength. YouthBridge continues to lead the way for social change and community development through Education, Enterprise investments and Endowment building. With the announcement of the YouthBridge SEIC, our commitment grows even stronger.
