When people think of equity capital and entrepreneurship, they typically don’t think of nonprofit organizations. At the YouthBridge Community Foundation, we think of little else.
Equity capital plays the same role in the nonprofit and the for profit worlds: to focus a group of committed investors around a common goal. Capital strength is just as important to social agencies as it is to businesses and individuals. Nonprofits, however, lack both capital and something equally as important - managers, board members and philanthropic investors who understand nonprofit equity capital and how to deploy it successfully.
Join us as we help children at risk in a new way - by improving the balance sheets and building entrepreneurial skills in the agencies that take care of them.
